Since 1 April 2024. Ms Bachmann oversees and manages Switzerland’s economic cooperation and development program in Vietnam. Before this, she has been the Deputy Head of Cooperation since September 2001.

 

Prior to joining the Swiss Cooperation Office in Vietnam, Ms Bachmann worked at the headquarters of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) in Berne, Switzerland as a Program Manager in the team of infrastructure financing in SECO’s Economic Cooperation and Development Division from 2015 to 2021.

 

During this time, from January to June 2018, she assumed the role of Deputy Head and interim at the Swiss Cooperation Office in Belgrade, Serbia. Before joining SECO, Ms Bachmann worked as a Programme Associate for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Nepal in the field of rural climate resilience.

Ms Bachmann holds a Master's degree in International Studies with a specialisation in Political Science from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland.
